Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 10, 2026 — Last Updated: April 10, 2026
Introduction
The IQgenio team ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website iqgenio.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website and use our free IQ test and brain training features. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described herein, please do not use the Service. We encourage you to read this policy carefully and to check back periodically for updates.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit iqgenio.com, certain information is collected automatically through standard web technologies and third-party analytics services:
- Usage Data via Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics (measurement ID: G-NVF3RE0SYB) to collect aggregated, anonymized usage data. This includes pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs, bounce rate, and general user flow through the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique users and sessions. We have IP anonymization enabled, meaning your full IP address is not stored by Google Analytics.
- Country Information: We detect your approximate country using the Cloudflare CF-IPCountry HTTP header. This is used solely to display relevant content and is not stored on our servers or linked to any personal profile.
- Browser and Device Information: Standard HTTP request data such as your browser type (user agent string), operating system, device type, screen resolution, and preferred language is collected by Google Analytics for aggregate statistical purposes. This data helps us optimize the site for the most common devices and browsers used by our visitors.
1.2 Information Stored in Your Browser (localStorage)
IQgenio stores certain data locally in your browser using the Web Storage API (localStorage). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. We use localStorage to:
- Save your IQ test results (scores, domain breakdowns, test history) so you can review them later without retaking the test.
- Track brain training progress (completed levels, scores, unlocked stages) so you can continue where you left off.
- Remember your language preference (e.g.,
iqgenio_lang) so the site loads in your chosen language on subsequent visits. - Store application state (e.g.,
iqgenio_state) for a seamless user experience.
You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data for iqgenio.com. Doing so will reset your test history and training progress.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
IQgenio is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
- There is no user registration, login, or account creation on our platform.
- We do not require or store payment information of any kind.
- We do not collect biometric data, precise geolocation, or device identifiers beyond what is standard in HTTP requests.
- We do not engage in profiling, automated decision-making, or behavioral targeting based on individual user data.
2. Share Feature
IQgenio offers an optional "Share Your Result" feature. When you choose to share your IQ test results, a unique page is generated at a URL in the format iqgenio.com/share/{token}/. This page displays:
- Your overall IQ score.
- Your scores across individual cognitive domains.
- A visual breakdown of your results.
This shared page is publicly accessible to anyone who has the link. No personal information (name, email, etc.) is included on the shared page, as we do not collect such information. The share token is randomly generated and cannot be used to identify you personally. By using the Share feature, you acknowledge and consent to this data being publicly available via the generated URL.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use a limited number of cookies and similar technologies. For a detailed breakdown of each cookie type, please see our Cookie Policy Refund Policy Contact.
3.1 Essential Cookies
Cloudflare, our CDN and security provider, may set cookies necessary for the proper functioning of the website (such as __cflb and __cf_bm). These are strictly necessary cookies that enable security features and load balancing.
3.2 Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga, _ga_<ID>) to distinguish unique users and track session information. These cookies contain randomly generated identifiers and do not contain any personal information. Analytics data is used solely to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service.
3.3 Advertising Cookies
We are in the process of integrating Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Service. Once active, Google AdSense will set cookies to serve ads relevant to your interests based on your browsing activity across websites. These cookies are set by Google and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.
3.4 localStorage
As described in Section 1.2, we use your browser's localStorage to store test results, training progress, and language preferences. localStorage is not a cookie and is not transmitted with HTTP requests. It persists until you manually clear it.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data when you use our website:
4.1 Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. It uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about the use of the Service. Google uses the data collected to track and examine the use of the Service, prepare reports on its activities, and share them with other Google services. Google may use the data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. For more information on Google's privacy practices, please visit: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4.2 Google AdSense
We plan to use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense is an advertising service provided by Google LLC. It uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you may opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
4.3 Cloudflare
Cloudflare, Inc. provides content delivery network (CDN), DDoS protection, and DNS services for our website. When you access iqgenio.com, your connection is routed through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare may collect limited technical data (such as IP addresses) for security purposes and to provide its services. Cloudflare's handling of data is governed by its own privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
5. Data Retention
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, our data retention practices are minimal:
- localStorage data (test results, training progress, preferences): Stored indefinitely in your browser until you clear it manually. We have no access to this data and cannot delete it remotely.
- Google Analytics data: Standard retention period as configured in our Google Analytics account (26 months for user-level data, 14 months for event-level data). This data is aggregated and anonymized.
- Share pages: Shared IQ result pages (
/share/{token}/) are stored on our server and remain accessible indefinitely unless we decide to remove them. These pages contain only IQ scores and domain breakdowns with no personal identifiers. - Server logs: Standard web server access logs (containing IP addresses, request URLs, timestamps, and user agents) may be retained for up to 30 days for security monitoring and troubleshooting purposes, after which they are automatically rotated and deleted.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
IQgenio is a general-audience website. However, our Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. Since our platform does not require registration or the submission of any personal information, we do not have a mechanism to verify users' ages.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under the age of 13 has somehow provided personal information to us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to address the situation. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we will delete any such information if we become aware of it.
We recommend that parents and guardians monitor their children's online activities and help enforce this policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information on any website without their permission.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR (European Economic Area Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related data protection laws. Although IQgenio collects minimal data and does not maintain user accounts or databases of personal information, we respect and uphold the following rights to the extent they are applicable:
- Right of Access: You have the right to request information about what data we hold about you. Since we do not store personal data on our servers (beyond anonymized analytics), there is typically no personal data to provide. Google Analytics data is aggregated and cannot be attributed to individual users.
- Right to Rectification: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data. As we do not collect personal data, this right is not typically applicable.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten"): You may request deletion of your personal data. You can delete your locally stored data (test results, progress) at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for iqgenio.com. If you have used the Share feature and wish to have a shared results page removed, please contact us and we will delete it.
- Right to Restriction of Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to Data Portability: You have the right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. Your test results and training data are already stored in your browser's localStorage in a structured format that you can export.
- Right to Object: You have the right to object to the processing of your data for certain purposes, including analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You can disable cookies through your browser settings or use the opt-out mechanisms described in Section 3.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Where applicable, we process data on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate Interest: We use Cloudflare for website security and performance, and aggregate analytics to improve our Service. This processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the website.
- Consent: We rely on your consent for the use of non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising cookies). You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information. Since IQgenio does not collect, sell, or share personal information as defined by the CCPA, most provisions do not apply. We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond what is described in this Privacy Policy regarding Google Analytics and future Google AdSense integration.
9. International Data Transfers
Our Service uses third-party providers (Google and Cloudflare) that may process data in countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States. These providers have implemented appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. By using our Service, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in these jurisdictions.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information associated with our Service. Our website is served over HTTPS (TLS encryption) to protect data in transit. We use Cloudflare's security services, including DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and bot management. Our server infrastructure is secured with firewalls, CrowdSec intrusion detection, and regular security updates.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
11. Links to Other Websites
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us (for example, links to Google's privacy settings). We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
